I’ll admit, the choices were rough. Spider-Man was probably the only one I really was like wtf? I’m just saying the other deaths, which I believe will be permanent hit a bit harder. Strange went knowing he’d come back. I’m assuming we’re full-on spoiler mode here, so I went into it expecting Loki to die. He had a full redemptive story arc, but being so definitive and so quick was crazy.
I think the 1 way that Strange saw to win was to lose that day because the Avengers left would rally, beat Thanos and reverse what he did. “It was the only way.” Losing the battle to win the war. Spiderman fan since childhood and the fact that he’s still a kid and Tony is like a surrogate father figure to him. You see Stark try to protect him and cannot. They achieved what DC comics could not when they “killed” Superman and nobody bought it. Avengers infinity gauntlet. Guys who die in this one is temporary but avengers who will die in next movie will never back.
